Why I built Mewly

March 24, 2025

I manage social content for a handful of brands. Nothing huge — a few hundred posts a month across LinkedIn, X, and Instagram. For a while I used Buffer. Then I tried a few cheaper alternatives. None of them felt right.

Buffer kept adding features I didn't need. The cheaper tools were missing ones I did. I spent more time managing the tool than actually publishing content.

The thing I kept running into

Every tool organized content around platforms. Connect your Twitter account, connect your LinkedIn, then switch between them to see what's scheduled. If you're managing more than one brand, you're constantly context-switching.

I wanted something brand-first. One brand, all its accounts, all its scheduled content — in one place. Switch to the next brand and do the same.

So I built Mewly

Mewly is what I actually wanted. A fast composer, a clean calendar, and a brand-centric structure that keeps things separate when you're juggling more than one client.

It's early. There are rough edges. But it already does the thing I needed it to do, and I'm using it every day. Updates will keep coming.
